A hernia is a protrusion of internal organs or deep tissues through weak areas of the abdominal musculature. Three-quarters of all hernias are in the groin, which is an anatomically weak area.

If the disease is not treated in time, esophageal cancer can develop. Laparoscopic appendectomy is an operation that removes the appendix if it becomes inflamed. The main symptom of appendicitis is abdominal pain, which may initially be around the navel, but then in the lower right abdomen.

Appendectomy can be performed in a minimally invasive (laparoscopic) manner. During laparoscopic surgery, the appendix is removed through small incisions in the anterior abdominal wall using a camera.
