Ultrasound (US) – harmless for health, fast and painless examination, where high-frequency waves – ultrasound – are used to obtain images. This visual diagnostic examination is based on the ability of ultrasound to reflect differently from different organs and tissues. For safety reasons, it can be used in unlimited numbers and can also be used without risk for pregnant women.
AIWA Clinic offers the following ultrasonography examinations:
Thyroid gland US and US of soft tissues of the neck
Kidney and urinary tract US (sometimes as a separate examination)
Prostate US (transabdominal and TRUS)
Pelvic US for women (gynaecologic ultrasound with endocavitary probe)
Breast US
Sonoelastography for breast, thyroid gland (as an additional examination to the breast US)
Doppler US of the veins of legs
Transperineal sonography of the rectum
Abdominal US exam (liver, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts, spleen, kidneys, ureters, bladder, large blood vessels, etc.)
This examination is available for patients from 18 years of age.
